Trustee Eduardo Alvarez Bangayan was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Davao City Water District when he was appointed to the LWUA Board of Trustees. He is a native of Zamboanga City and is a businessman by profession. He is president, vice-president or director of several private business enterprises - mostly based in Mindanao - and is an active and respected leader in the water supply industry, having been Chairman of the Board of the Philippine Association of Water Districts, Inc. (PAWD), the umbrella organization of all water districts in the country; director and past president of the Philippine Water Works Association, Inc.; governor of the Mindanao Association of Water Districts. Trustee Bangayan is also president, director or member of various business, civic and sports associations.
