Public-private
partnership for water supply in Iloilo

To address the need to deliver uninterrupted supply
of potable water to Iloilo City and its nearby towns, the Local
Water Utilities Administration (LWUA), currently headed by Acting
Administrator Salvador C. Ner (seated, 3rd from right), authorized
the Metro Iloilo Water District (MIWD) to purchase bulk water
from Iloilo Primewater Ventures Corporation. Public-private partnership
is being encouraged by the national government in an effort to
promote the country's economic growth. In photo during the signing
