Water for waterless areas

Secretary Hermogenes E. Ebdane of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is apprised of the plans of the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) to hasten the delivery of safe potable water to communities earlier identified by the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) as still "waterless" on account of low public access to piped water supply. Leading the briefing held recently at the LWUA headquarters in Balara, Quezon City are LWUA Board of Trustees Chairman Proceso T. Domingo and LWUA Administrator Orlando C. Hondrade. Also in photo is LWUA acting Senior Deputy Administrator Daniel I. Landingin. Ebdane has committed the release of an initial P150 million seed money from DPWH's Presidential Priority Program on Water (P3W) Fund to support LWUA's projects for the waterless areas under its jurisdiction.
