LWUA-MWSS changing of the guards
MWSS-LWUA CHANGE OF GUARDS - Public Works and Highways Secretary Hermogenes Ebdane, Jr. (2nd from right) swears-in Lorenzo H. Jamora (extreme right) as new Administrator of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) and Orlando C. Honrade (2nd from left) as Administrator of the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA). Jamora and Honrade switched positions as part of the on-going reorganization of the bureaucracy. The formal turn-over will be effective December 1. Also in photo is LWUA Acting Senior Deputy Administrator Daniel I. Landingin. Jamora served as LWUA chief for five years and lifted the water agency from the list of 14 losing government-owned and controlled corporations into a financially sound institution and pushed for aggressive expansion, modernization and development of water districts.
