IMPROVED CALAMBA WATER DISTRICT - Calamba City (Laguna) Mayor Joaquin Chipeco (center) and Administrator Lorenzo H. Jamora (2nd from right) of the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) do the ceremonial lowering of the time capsule at the 369 square meter lot of the Calamba Water District (CWD) where its motor pool and warehouse will soon rise. Mayor Chipeco and the LWUA chief commended the CWD management and Board of Directors for formulating plans and programs and in implementing client-responsive services to benefit their constituents. The motor pool and warehouse construction is part of the expansion and modernization program of the water district done in anticipation of greater demand for water supply after Calamba City was chosen as the government center for Region 4. The ceremony was part of the 30th founding anniversary celebration of the water district.
