Bulacan water districts forge agreement with MWSS for bulk water supply

WATER FOR BULACAN TOWNS - The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS), the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) and the Meycauayan Water District (MWD) forged an agreement for the supply of additional 20,000 cubic meters of raw water per day to the MWD for treatment and distribution to its concessionaires in the town. The additional raw water supply through the MWSS’s Bicti-Novaliches aqueduct will augment the existing 20,000 cu. m. of treated water allocated by the MWSS to the MWD through the Maynilad Water and the water district’s own groundwater production. Signing the memorandum of agreement in top photo are (seated, from left) MWD Chairman Rolando P. Garcia, MWSS Administrator Orlando C. Honrade, MWD General Manager Mariano Sangalang, MWSS Chairman Oscar I. Garcia and LWUA Administrator Lorenzo H. Jamora. Photo below shows the same agreement being made with the Marilao Water District (MARWADIS) represented by its General Manager Fernando C. Diaz (2nd from left) for the supply of 10,000 cu. m. bulk water for the town of Marilao, Bulacan.
