Piped potable water finally for Diadi

Modern piped potable water supply finally comes to the upland Nueva Vizcaya town of Diadi through the combined efforts of the Diadi local government, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) paving the way for the completion of its first ever water supply system recently. The Diadi LGU worked for the funding for the source development courtesy of the CDF of Senator Aquilino Pimentel, Jr., the water tank and reservoir (inset) with the National Power Corporation (NPC)-Magat Hydroelectric Power Plant under ERC Regulation 1-94 and the pipeline component through an LGU Support Credit Program loan with the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP); the DENR provided the watershed area where the source is located while LWUA provided a P5 million loan to the Diadi Water District (DWD) for spring development, sedimentation and collection tank and transmission and distribution lines. Photo shows Diadi Mayor Marvic S. Padilla (in red shirt) and LWUA division manager Engr. Edgardo Demayo, representing LWUA Board Chairman Prospero A. Pichay, Jr. and Administrator Orlando C. Hondrade, sharing the honors of inaugurating the new water system while DWD general manager Engr. Manolito Supnet (left) and LWUA public affairs manager Teodoro M. Reynoso look on.
