| P24-M Mapandan water system loan signed | ||||||||

| Administrator
Orlando C. Hondrade (center) of the Local Water Utilities Administration
(LWUA) led the signing of the P24 million regular loan by the Mapandan
Water District (MAWADI) for the new water system in Mapandan, Pangasinan
which will soon benefit some 35,000 residents in the area through the
provision of safe, potable and abundant water supply. Signatories of the
contract are, from left, Deputy Administrator for Admin Lilian Asprer,
Deputy Administrator for Finance Wilfredo Feleo, Deputy Administrator
for Operations Emmanuel Malicdem, Senior Deputy Administrator Daniel Landingin,
Administrator Hondrade, General Manager Isagani Dacanay, Chairman Rodolfo
Casilang and Board Director Judy Pascual. Also in the ceremony are staff
of the LWUA Project Planning and Water Rates Divisions and the Congressional
Support Staff and the MAWADI Board of Directors. The formation of MAWADI
was through the initiative of Pangasinan 3rd District Rep. Generoso Tulagan
and Mapandan Mayor Jose Ferdinand Calimlim Jr. The groundbreaking ceremony
for the new water system is scheduled on March 28. c March 21 , 2007 |
