Safe, potable water for Currimao, Ilocos Norte

LWUA Administrator Orlando C. Hondrade led the inauguration recently of the newly-completed potable water pumping station that is part of an P11-Million Water Supply Improvement and Expansion Project of the Ilocos Norte Water District (INWD) for the town of Currimao, Ilocos Norte. Hondrade inaugurated the new system on his way to Laoag City where he addressed the quarterly meeting of the Pan-Ilocos Association of Water Districts (PIWADA) now headed by GM Casiano Callanta of Urdaneta City Water District as president and INWD Board Chair Emeric Asuncion as chairman of the board of governors. Also in photo are INWD Chair Asuncion and INWD general manager and PIWADA immediate past president John Teodoro. Aside from Laoag City, INWD now covers the towns of Solsona, Piddig, Vintar, Pasuquin, Bacarra, San Nicolas, Paoay, Currimao, Pinili and Badoc.
