P39.9-million water system inaugurated in Labason, Zambo Norte

Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) Chairman Prospero A. Pichay, Jr., Zamboanga del Norte Governor Rolando Yebes (both in checkered polo) and Labason Mayor Wilfredo Balais (sampling the water) jointly led the inauguration of the newly-completed P39.9 million water supply improvement and expansion project in Labason, Zamboanga del Norte. Supported by a P20 million loan and technical assistance from LWUA and a P19.9 million grant from the Office of the President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, the system stands to benefit thousands of Labason residents with adequate supply of potable, safe and clean drinking water through the Labason Water District (LWD) headed by General Manager Philip Balais.
