President
Arroyo through Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri and Local Water Utilities
Administration (LWUA) Board Chairman Prospero Pichay Jr., turns
over to officials of the Manolo Fortich Water District (MFWD)
a facsimile check representing the government's P7-million financial
assistance for the further improvement and expansion of the water
supply system of Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. The Arroyo administration
has increased funding support for water supply development in
the countryside especially in the still non-operational water
districts and the identified waterless communities to provide
safe water to all barangays as a way of promoting public health
and enhancing national socio-economic development.
