P125-M Cabuyao water project inaugurated

Local Water Utilities Administration Chairman Prospero A. Pichay, Jr. and Cabuyao, Laguna Mayor Isidro Hemedes (2nd from right and right, respectively) jointly lead the groundbreaking ceremony for a P125-million potable water supply project that will provide safe potable water supply to some 32,000 residents in ten barangays in Cabuyao, Laguna. To be funded by a P100 million loan from LWUA and another P25 million grant from the Office of the President, the project is part of the "Tubig na Malinis at Mura sa Bawa't Tahanan" of LWUA in support of the PGMA administration's vision of bringing potable water to all barangays, especially the so-called still waterless communities. Also in photo are officials of the Cabuyao Water District led by its Chairman Adel Chung and interim General Manager Jun de Castro, Jr. and LWUA Acting Deputy Administrator for Investments and Finance Wilfredo Feleo and Area Manager Antonio Magtibay.
