Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and LWUA Board Chairman Prospero "Butch"
Pichay, Jr. lead the groundbreaking of a P57-million water supply
improvement project in Meycauayan City, Bulacan which is intended
to solve the perennial worsening water supply problems especially
in the populous poblacion area. Also present during the event
were Bulacan Governor Joselito Mendoza, LWUA acting Administrator
Daniel I. Landingin and officials of the impelementing agency,
the Meycauayan Water District headed by General Manager Mariano
Sangalang, Jr. The project will be funded by a combination of
loan and grant from the Office of the President through LWUA under
the "Malinis at Murang Tubig sa Bawa't Tahanan" program
of the administraton.
