Tarlac Governor Victor A. Yap vowed the provincial government's full suport in the identification and development of a watershed area that would sustain safe potable water supply for the capital city of Tarlac. Gov. Yap made this commitment during the 2nd Tarlac City Water Summit held recently with the theme, "Synergy for Water Security and Governance" also attended by Administrator Orlando C. Hondrade of the Local Water Utilities Administration, representatives from various government and non-government organizations and other water stakeholders in the city. The Water Summit was hosted by Tarlac City Water District (TCWD) headed by Chairman Gerardo C. Gomez and General Manager Ester Vengco which was also then celebrating its 33rd anniversary.
