Mapandan water system groundbreaking

Administrator Orlando Hondrade (left) of the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) and Pangasinan 3rd District Rep. Generoso Tulagan (right) lead the ground breaking ceremony for the proposed P39.5 million new water supply system in Mapandan, Pangasinan. The project component includes construction of wells and reservoir, installation of main and distribution pipelines and a target of some 2,000 service connections on the first year. The provision of safe, potable and abundant water supply for some 35,000 residents was initiated by Rep. Tulagan, LWUA and Mapandan Mayor Jose Ferdinand Calimlim Jr. through the formation of the Mapandan Water District (MAWADI). Behind them are members of the Sangguniang Bayan of Mapandan and the MAWADI General Manager and Board.
