The House Committee on Appropriations chaired by Rep. Edcel C. Lagman (right) recently conducted a hearing and passed House Bill 2394 principally authored by House Deputy Speaker Eric D. Singson (3rd from right) which seeks to increase the authorized capitalization and borrowing capacities of the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA). Also in attendance during the hearing are LWUA officials headed by Board Chair Proceso T. Domingo in the company of (from left) Legal department Manager Atty. Ellen Te, Corplan Manager Manuel T. Yoingco, acting Senior Deputy Administrator Daniell. Landingin and Area Manager Antonio Magtibay. Prior to this, HB 2394 which will increase to P25 Billion LWUA's capitalization and to $ 900 million its aggregate local and foreign borrowing ceilings was also passed by the House Committee on Public Works chaired by Rep.
