Boosted by
the P300 Million capital seed fund released recently by the Department
of budget and Management (DBM) and the commitment of support from
the bilateral and multilateral funding agencies as the World Bank
(WB) and Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Local Water Utilities
Administration (LWUA) will accelerate the prosecution of water
supply improvement and expansion projects in the countryside in
support of the national government's program of expanding people's
access to piped potable water. This was announced recently by
LWUA Administrator Orlando C. Hondrade in his speech during the
national convention of the Philippine Association of Water Districts
(PAWD) at the Pryce Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City.
