LWUA to speed up provincial water supply projects

Boosted by the P300 Million capital seed fund released recently by the Department of budget and Management (DBM) and the commitment of support from the bilateral and multilateral funding agencies as the World Bank (WB) and Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) will accelerate the prosecution of water supply improvement and expansion projects in the countryside in support of the national government's program of expanding people's access to piped potable water. This was announced recently by LWUA Administrator Orlando C. Hondrade in his speech during the national convention of the Philippine Association of Water Districts (PAWD) at the Pryce Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City.
