PGMA funds water project for eco-tourism in Surigao

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has announced the release of P10 million to the Local Water Utilities Administration to fund the development of potable water supply system in Pilar, Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte in support of eco-tourism drive of the province which hosted the First Invitational Game Fishing Tournament opened by the President recently. With the President in photo are LWUA Administrator Orlando C. Hondrade, Rep. Francisco Matugas of the 1st District of Surigao del Norte (in orange shirt) and LWUA Mindanao Area Manager, Engr. Antonio Magtibay (right, partly hidden). President Arroyo also intended to tap LWUA in the development of potable water systems in other areas in the South where there are high potentials for eco-tourism.
