Buhay KYUT

Buhay KYUT is a LWUA-conceived program on water conservation, health, and hygiene being implemented by the Local Water Utilities Administration thru its Public Affairs Department in cooperation with identified water districts, the Department of Health (DOH), the Department of Education (DepEd) and Local Government Units (LGUs).

“KYUT” stands for Kalusugan, Yamang Ugnay sa Tubig. “BUHAY”, on the other hand, means lifestyle. The program aims to achieve a clean and healthy lifestyle for all members of the family particularly the women and children.

LWUA's Water Battallion

Officially known as the 501st (LWUA) Water Batallion, this is a special unit of the Local Water Utilities Administration affiliated with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and operates under the Affiliated Reserve Group (ARG) of the AFP Reserve Command (AFPRESCOM).

Its mission is to provide continuous supply of potable water in times of disasters and other emergencies.

It was founded on May 23, 2000 and is presently headed by Maj Edison A Cuenca PA (Res). (VISIT THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE FOR DETAILS)
