PGMA LEADS P15-M GUAGUA WATER PROJECT INAUGURATION. President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo leads the groundbreaking and capsule-laying ceremony for the P15-Million water supply expansion project of the Guagua Water District (GWD) in the waterless barangay of Ascomo, Guagua, Pampanga which will be funded partially by a grant from the Office of the President through LWUA. LWUA TO ORGANIZE, REACTIVATE WDs IN 220 PROV'L AREAS. To develop local institutions that would properly manage and operate water systems on sustained and professional manner, LWUA Chairman Prospero Pichay Jr. said his agency has targeted the establishment of new water districts and activation of already formed but still unoperational ones in 220 provincial areas. LWUA COMPLETES P239-M WATER PROJECTS IN 45 PROV'L AREAS. LWUA has completed the construction of water supply projects in forty-five provincial areas as of the end of April 2009 at the overall cost of P 239 million. LWUA Board Chairman Prospero Pichay, Jr. said the completed projects are part of the 220 water supply system development projects that LWUA has targeted for completion this year. READ ON
